It is kind of like early New Year's for me. I have a new start--for me!
What is this new piece? Well, first I want to say that I was looking for a piece that was different--something that I don't usually stitch. And, I am stitching it for the purpose of entering it into our 2014 State Fair. We go to the state fair every year, and my favorite thing to do is go through the Arts and Crafts Building. And, my favorite thing to see in the Arts and Crafts building is the stitched pieces. I have been saying for several years, that I am going to enter--and this will be the year!
Here is what I will be stitching for my first state fair entry. This is what she will look like finished--this is NOT my finished piece.
Now, here is what Red looks like after 1 week of stitching.
I am also stitching on an Autumn piece for a new quilt theme that just opened at WOCS, and a Christmas design for the November SAL at The Stitcher's Garden. Since my last post, I also put in a few stitches on This is the Day. I am still stitching grass, and will post an update of This is the Day after I get past the grass stitching.
Thank you for visiting!!
