Well, it has been a while...again! Most of the time, I think that I am not cut out for blogging. I am pretty sporadic in posting, I get way behind on commenting on the blogs that I enjoy reading, and I sometimes think that no one really wants to see what I am stitching, etc. But, I just keep coming back every so often, because I like my blog! It's a new year, so I am going to try to post more often, try to be a more regular commenter, and try not to worry about what others may think about my stitching choices. : ) I had started another blog for the charity stitching, but I can barely keep up with this one!! The other blog has been deleted.
As far as stitching in the new year, no stitching goals or plans--just stitch what comes along and strikes my fancy. I will try to stitch more on my WIPS, but I do enjoy the charity stitching. So that will be a majority of my stitching again this year, I'm sure.
Since I last posted here, not a lot of stitching was going on. But, lots of holiday fun with family and friends was happening!
Here are the finishes during the past month.
This is for Quilts for Older Children and Adults. Jeneen had a great idea--a Mystery Heart SAL. We chose a number between 1 and 11. We were then sent the chart for a heart that remained a mystery until we received it. I used DMC Variations floss 4265--Purple Pansy to stitch the heart I received. All of the hearts the group stitches will be sent to Love Quilts Brazil. A very fun stitch!
I stitched this little piece last night.
This will be made into a card by one of the ladies at World of Charity Stitching, and all of the Valentine cards will be delivered to a senior care center.
Next up in my stitching basket are a couple more small pieces for the Valentine cards, and LHN Kitty Cottage Sampler for a quilt square.
I guess that is all for this time. Be looking for a comment on your blogs from me in the next few days, and Happy Stitching!!
Thank you for visiting.

Great job on both of them.
I love to stitch hearts. Great stitching.
A fun heart project.
I write my blog for me as a journal so I have a record of my stitching life. It should never be an obligation.
I love all your projects.
Beautiful stitching!! I agree with what Nicola said. I've become very sporadic about blogging, but figure I will post when I post and hope people will read it, but I am doing it for myself. I am trying to focus more on smalls this year rather than samplers, and it feels weird to venture out into that rather than focusing on BAPs. I have to constantly ask myself why I am working on the smalls and try to keep myself going. At the end of the day it's important to realize that you are stitching for your own enjoyment, not so that you have things to post on your blog or things that you think others might like. I am writing that for my own edification as well as saying it to you. So there! Blog, stitch, do what makes you happy!
And have a happy new year, too!
Your hearts are both so pretty, Mary Ann :) And don't worry about how often you post. I rarely post more than a couple of times a month. I have to be in the mood to write and that doesn't always happen :) I, like Nicola, began my blog simply as a way to keep track of my stitching...it is still that, but I've met so many nice friends along the way over the past four years.
Looking forward to reading your blog, no matter how often you post :)
Lovely stitching on your hearts! I have felt the same way you do many times!! I agree with what has already been said - it is your blog, so do it your way! :) I think we all hope someone will want to read what we post, and I know we all love to receive comments. Like Carol, I look forward to reading your blog, no matter how often you post. :)
Those are great finishes! I enjoy seeing what people are stitching no matter what or why they're doing it. Everyone has such different tastes and ideas its just fascinating. You shouldn't feel tied down to your blog, blog when you feel like it!
I agree with what others have said Mary Ann. Blog when you feel like it and about what you want to blog about. When I started mine it was for me to record my stitching progress and I never thought anyone would want to read it. I am still amazed by the fact that people do!
Lovely finishes. The colour of the heart is so pretty.
Wonderful stitching! No worries about blogging and commenting. Life gets in the way and it's not possible to always keep up.
I just became a follower of your blog as I love to see what everyone is stitching. I don't stitch every single day so I completely understand that there is more in life than stitching for all of us. I will enjoy your updates whenever you have time to post them.
Your hearts are so pretty.
