Here is the stitching for November...

I finished the Pooh and Piglet piece for our grandson on the way.

I started LK's Promise Me, which will also be on the wall in his nursery.

And, I had this piece framed that I finished stitching way back in 2003(I thought it was time)--Seasonal Scenes Autumn.

I hope that December is a good stitching month for everyone, and that you all have a Very Merry Christmas!! Thank you for visiting!

October Stitches

Well, this month flew by! It was a very busy month around here, and it seems that not a ton of stitching happened. But, there was a small start and finish, and some progress. All the happenings of the month, also caused me to get WAY behind in blog reading. I hope to do some catching up on that this afternoon, and especially tonight between answering the doorbell and passing out candy.

Here are the October stitches...
This is Rainbow Mandela, and the chart can be found here. The piece is for a World of Charity Stitching quilt where everyone stitches the same design, but the colors used are chosen by each stitcher--these are popular and fun quilts with the group.

And, here is the progress I made on Pooh and Piglet for the new grandbaby that will join the family in April.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope everyone(me included)has a lot of stitching time in November!!

September Stitches

Here is what I have been stitching this past month.

I made good progress on This Is The Day. The middle section is finished and all the borders are stitched. (I went ahead and added the date "2015" because I know I won't finish it this year--but I know I can get it finished next year)

I had two finishes. The first one is a square for a World of Charity Stitching quilt.

The second finish is a scissor holder by The Purple Thread.

And...there were two new starts. The first one will look like this when finished and is being stitched for the new grandbaby that will be joining our family in April!!--
DD has chosen the theme of Classic Winnie the Pooh for the baby's room, and she asked me to stitch this piece. Here is the small start I have on Pooh and Piglet.
I am stitching it on a 32ct linen called Summer Breeze and am using DMC floss.

The second new start, and one that will be featured here for a L O N G time, because it is going to be HUGE is His Eye is on the Sparrow by Heartstring Samplery. This one just called to me for many reasons when I saw it--I know it is going to take me a long time to stitch, but I figure I will definitely get my stitching money's worth out of it! : )

Here is my small start on it.
I'm using 28ct Doubloon linen by Picture this Plus and the called for GAST and WDW thread.

I think I have plenty of stitching to keep me busy in October, and I also need to catch up and keep caught up on blog reading.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope October is a wonderful month for everyone!!

Frosty Forest--Four Down, Five To Go

I finished the fourth "Frosty Forest" part earlier this week.

I am taking a short break from it to stitch two little kits that I purchased from my LNS on Monday--their Market Day. Both are by a designer I had never heard of--The Purple Thread. Really cute kits that come with everything needed to stitch and finish them. The first one, that I am working on now, is called "Back to Spool". And, the other one is "Pin Pal".

I also had my LNS get me the Heartstring Samplery chart, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". They have ordered for me the HUGE piece of fabric needed for it, then I will pick up the needed floss a few at a time--then I can start it! Well, after I finish "Frosty Forest". Oh, and after I finish "This Is The Day". And, I probably need to start searching for a turbo needle, too!! : )

I hope everyone has a wonderful Summer weekend, filled with lots of stitching time! Thank you for visiting!!

Winner And Three Small Finishes

First, the winner of the LHN Summer chart and floss is Barb who blogs at My Stitching Treasures! Barb, please email me your mailing address, and I will get the package in the mail to you very soon. Thank you to those who entered and to those who left kind comments on my finish.

Now, for the three small finishes...they are for World of Charity Stitching.
This will be made into a holiday card for a resident in one of the senior care centers.
Another one for a holiday card.
This one may be made into a card, playing card holder, small bag, etc. The ladies who do the sewing and finishing for the group are very creative in using the stitched pieces!

I hope everyone has a great week, and thank you for visiting!!

Summer Finish, Summer Giveaway

First, I would like to thank all of you who visit my little blog, and leave such nice comments.

This past Saturday was Open Stitch at my LNS, Stitch-N-Time. There were 18 stitchers in attendance on this day, and there was a lot of fun, stitching, eating, and chatting! On my sidebar is a link to Stitch-N-Time's Facebook page. If you are signed in to Facebook, I believe that you can see a couple of photos from the day.

In between the chatting and snacking, I was able to get quite a bit stitched on LHN's Summer Stitching, and I finished it this morning!
The fabric I used is 28ct Lambswool linen, and I used most of the colors of Classic Colorworks floss that came with the chart(I changed a few of the colors, and used some of the colors in different places than charted). As I said in my previous post, I was going for a more summery look instead of patriotic.

I would like to pass the chart and leftover floss to another stitcher. If you would like a chance to stitch it, just leave a comment letting me know that you are interested. I will mail anywhere, and will announce who the chart and floss will be going to in my next post.

I hope everyone is having a fun-filled, stitchy summer! Thank you for visiting!!
