It Is Finished!

I put in the last stitch on His Eye is on the Sparrow last night! I enjoyed every stitch, and am looking forward to getting it framed and have it hanging in our home!!
I put the first stitch in on September 14, 2014(I did stitch and finish some other pieces during this time). It was stitched 1 over 2 on Picture This Plus 28ct Doubloon. I used the suggested GAST and WDW floss.

Earlier this year I finished the January Word Play by With Thy Needle and Thread.
I stitched this on 40ct Country Mocha Newcastle linen using the suggested floss.

December Stitching

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and will have a Happy New Year!

After finishing the final LHN Sampler Tree ornament the beginning of the month, I finished Plum Street Samplers' Sampler Lesson Two.
I used the floss that came with the chart and stitched it on 36ct Winter Brew linen.

Framed and on the wall
Together with Sampler Lesson One.

Some progress was made on His Eye is on the Sparrow.

Here is a very poor and wrinkled photo of the whole piece, so far.
And, here is where I started the year on this piece.
Progress has been made! Will His Eye is on the Sparrow be a 2016 finish?

Thank you for visiting!!

A Lovely Gift Received

I had a surprise package in my mailbox today. A lovely lady, Jacquie, whose blog I enjoy reading, sent me a wonderful ornament with a very pretty card.
Here is a photo of the ornament on our Christmas tree.

The ornament is so very beautifully sewn and finished! Thank you so much, Jacquie! I hope that you, also, have a very Merry Christmas that is full of smiles!!

And, while I am here, I can show you the 12th and final LHN Sampler Tree ornament that I finished stitching a few days ago.
Hmmmm, I guess that I now have 12 stitched ornaments that I need to actually finish into ornaments....I am finishing challenged, so I am going to think on the matter for a while. : )

Thank you for visiting!!

October Stitching

I had two small finishes in October, and both are by Little House Needleworks. The first one is Fall Squared. I stitched it on 36ct Buttercream linen, using the called for floss. The second one is the 10th LHN Sampler Tree ornament--Merry Christmas. It was stitched on 32ct Irish Creme linen, using the called for floss.

I have also made stitching progress on His Eye is on the Sparrow and the 2nd Plum Street Samplers' Serial Bowl Collection--Sampler Lesson Two. But, no photos this time of them.

I have gotten WAY behind on blog reading/commenting, and am hoping to catch up this month.

Thank you for visiting, and I hope everyone has a wonderful November!!

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

I can't believe that September is already over! It went fast, but I did get in some stitching this month.

I finished the next LHN Sampler Tree ornament, "Welcome Inn". I stitched it on the called for 32ct Irish Cream linen and used the called for floss. I made a change from the chart by leaving off the words. I will be picking up the next chart in this series from my LNS on Friday.

I spent some time stitching "His Eye is on the Sparrow". I finished the fourth page, and then decided to finish stitching the border. There was a small Happy Dance when the border met!!(Please excuse the wrinkles)

I started PSS Serial Bowl Collection "Sampler Lesson Two". I am stitching it on 36ct Winter Brew linen, using the floss that came with the chart.

And, I picked up the PSS "Sampler Lesson One" from the framer a few weeks ago.

I hope everyone has a lovely, stitching-filled October! Thank you for visiting!!

Eight Out Of Twelve

Here is my finish of LHN's Potted Poinsettia(the eighth ornament in the Sampler Tree ornament series).
It was stitched on the called for fabric--32ct Creme Brulee, using the called for floss. The next one should be waiting for me at my LNS when I go to Sit and Stitch this Saturday. Until then, I will spend some time stitching on His Eye is on the Sparrow.
