Frosty Forest--Four Down, Five To Go

I finished the fourth "Frosty Forest" part earlier this week.

I am taking a short break from it to stitch two little kits that I purchased from my LNS on Monday--their Market Day. Both are by a designer I had never heard of--The Purple Thread. Really cute kits that come with everything needed to stitch and finish them. The first one, that I am working on now, is called "Back to Spool". And, the other one is "Pin Pal".

I also had my LNS get me the Heartstring Samplery chart, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow". They have ordered for me the HUGE piece of fabric needed for it, then I will pick up the needed floss a few at a time--then I can start it! Well, after I finish "Frosty Forest". Oh, and after I finish "This Is The Day". And, I probably need to start searching for a turbo needle, too!! : )

I hope everyone has a wonderful Summer weekend, filled with lots of stitching time! Thank you for visiting!!

Winner And Three Small Finishes

First, the winner of the LHN Summer chart and floss is Barb who blogs at My Stitching Treasures! Barb, please email me your mailing address, and I will get the package in the mail to you very soon. Thank you to those who entered and to those who left kind comments on my finish.

Now, for the three small finishes...they are for World of Charity Stitching.
This will be made into a holiday card for a resident in one of the senior care centers.
Another one for a holiday card.
This one may be made into a card, playing card holder, small bag, etc. The ladies who do the sewing and finishing for the group are very creative in using the stitched pieces!

I hope everyone has a great week, and thank you for visiting!!

Summer Finish, Summer Giveaway

First, I would like to thank all of you who visit my little blog, and leave such nice comments.

This past Saturday was Open Stitch at my LNS, Stitch-N-Time. There were 18 stitchers in attendance on this day, and there was a lot of fun, stitching, eating, and chatting! On my sidebar is a link to Stitch-N-Time's Facebook page. If you are signed in to Facebook, I believe that you can see a couple of photos from the day.

In between the chatting and snacking, I was able to get quite a bit stitched on LHN's Summer Stitching, and I finished it this morning!
The fabric I used is 28ct Lambswool linen, and I used most of the colors of Classic Colorworks floss that came with the chart(I changed a few of the colors, and used some of the colors in different places than charted). As I said in my previous post, I was going for a more summery look instead of patriotic.

I would like to pass the chart and leftover floss to another stitcher. If you would like a chance to stitch it, just leave a comment letting me know that you are interested. I will mail anywhere, and will announce who the chart and floss will be going to in my next post.

I hope everyone is having a fun-filled, stitchy summer! Thank you for visiting!!

June Stitching

WOW! June certainly zoomed right by.

My June stitching consisted of the heart finish for Love Quilts from my last post, and I spent some time working on "This Is The Day". There was also a new start this month. : )

The last time I stitched on "This Is The Day" was this past March, and here was my progress as of then.
And, here is my progress on it as of today.

June 21st was a Sit and Stitch day at my LNS. In between chatting and snacking, I got quite a bit stitched on the border of "This Is The Day". A little shopping also took place--they had the new LHN "Summer Stitching" chart(chart is free with the purchase of the floss). Here is my start on it.
(please excuse the wrinkles)I had a piece of 28ct Lambswool linen that was just the right size in my stash. I am changing most of the floss colors because I want a more "summery" look instead of patriotic.

My July stitching plans include working on "Frosty Forest", finish "Summer Stitching", stitch a couple of small pieces for World of Charity Stitching, and another new start??(No, I really, really can't do that)!! : )

My July stitching will be starting off tomorrow at Stitch-N-Time's Tuesday Evening Stitches. Then, Saturday is Stitching and Lunch there. I have my stitching bag packed and ready to go...

Thank you for visiting, and Happy Stitching!!

Finished...What Next?

I have finished the heart for Mackenzie's Love Quilt.
I enjoyed stitching the bright, girly colors in this heart for her. I hope she likes it.

Now, which WIP should I work on? Frosty Forest?, This Is The Day?, Red?, Seasonal Scenes Summer? A new start??(No, I can't do that...) Decisions, decisions.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week, and thank you for visiting!!

A Little Heart Progress

Hello, and Happy June 1st! As you can see, I have "decorated" my blog for summer!!

I have stitched a teeny, tiny bit on Frosty Forest(not enough progress for a photo, yet). But, here is a photo of my progress on Mackenzie's quilt square since last week.

If you have time, check out the latest World of Charity Stitching blog post--here. Peggy has posted all of the lovely quilt squares that have come in so far for the "In A Garden" quilt--some very lovely stitching to see!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday, and thank you for visiting!!

What I Am Stitching Now

I started stitching this Monday evening...
This quilt square is for Mackenzie. She wanted hearts for her quilt. If interested, you can see the heart squares that have come in for her so far, here. It is going to be a very pretty quilt for her!

I have not stitched a square for Love Quilts in quite a while, and while stitching this piece, I am discovering that I have missed stitching something for a specific child.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend/long Memorial Day weekend! Thank you for visting!!
